Crack

Juliette Mapp writes „Dancers have the advantage of being able to detach themselves from meanings conveyed by normal language usage. A dancer can live in a world of passing images, sensations, landscapes, relationships, and constructs without necessarily attaching herself to the specifity that language often creates. The not naming that defines much of the dancer‘s experience in movement allows for more fluidity and openness. („Letting our speech go“).

In the last three days I had the opportunity to live in the crack between language and body, verbal and non-verbal, in the crack within and in the crack between.

Thanks Arianna Ulian and Sara Sguotti for creating this process so necessary, urgent and coloured, for your irony, for letting me shiver and feel with you.
